The Future Perfect is a novel in progress. May that I finish it before I become a bunch of carrots and little sweet peas. Here is a synopsis:
After a nearly two-thousand-year absence, everyone's favorite carpenter from ancient Galilee returns to Earth, as foretold, but is shot and killed in a freak accident moments after his arrival. This miraculous tragedy rips through the lives of believers across America and its young neighbor the United States of Pacifica. Witness the cosmically unlucky Staff Sergeant Beaumont Hawkin Dawes, a diplomatic security contractor for the US Embassy in Jerusalem; Miles Von Praetor, the devout almost-trillionaire scheming to profit off the Dead Lord’s body; and Isaac Trigger, the grandson of a kooky theologian whose posthumously discovered writings might just hold the key to this dark, and darkly funny, novel.
